First Time for Everything

Well I'm starting something new...blogging. I love to write and expression is good for everyone, be it good or not so good, everything should share their inner thoughts. It's harmless, yet very therapeutic and I look forward to writing as well as following other blogs.
My life is full, being a mom of two daughters and grandmother to four grandchildren, all live with me making our home an exciting place to be around the clock. Not to mention two dogs and a neverending schedule of activities. We are so blessed to have an extended church family through a church God led us to six months ago and a place we have come to love and look forward to attending as much as possible. Our lives are Christ-centered and the Lord is very good to us...I wonder how people can live without serving our Lord and Savior.
We just returned home from the Fall Festival at our church. This is the first year we haven't gone trick or treating in a subdivision and I wondered if the kids would miss it. Well, they had an absolute blast playing games and "trunk or treating" as numerous church members filled their trunks with "goodies" as the kids walked along with their buckets. There was a hayride, balloon animals, spin painting, basketball shoot, inflatables and even storytime ending with a pinata' being broken spreading more candy for the kids to scramble for. Absent were the goulish, scary, wicked costumes and the kids had so much fun they didn't want to leave. God is so good to my family and I'm constantly overwhelmed. Tomorrow my daughter Sarah and I are taking my two youngest grandsons to see "Veggietales" on stage. They are so excited, will surely report on this later...I'm excited too!
